Selene was born on November 1, 2012, at a hefty 9lbs 1oz and we were over the moon with our family of four. While our big baby turned out to be a tiny toddler, her personality can be defined as nothing other big. She has earned the name, Beanie the Bully (though we are working on this as not everyone will find her bullying adorable). She is just starting to really get the hang of talking, even if she can't say it you always know what she wants through vigorous pointing, hand gesturing, and being dragged to where she wants to go (usually the kitchen pantry).
We have also started using Selene as the test of whether a person is "a monster" or not. Because when this happy little face yells "Hi!" at you, it is impossible to not smile and say Hi back. Unless you are a monster.
Selene is a fighter. A daughter. A sister. A singer. A dancer. She is love. She is ours. And she will give more than she will ever take from this life.
The hills are always alive for this girl.
